Triumph Thruxton EFI slow throttle response, backfires, cuts out

So guys 1 month commuting to work on the bike 50km roundtrip. Changed my life so much happier until yesterday haha

Finish work and keen to get on the bike and go. She is still newish 8000 km on the clock just been serviced.

She sounds sick on start up. Throttle response is slow. She dies on me in the middle of an intersection.

Slow response on throttle
Backfires above 2000 rpm
Displays are almost shaky
Engine sound from pipes almost deeper

General ideas ???????

I know nothing

Any ideas would help

first thing I would check is if a plug lead has come off or if one spark plug wasn't tightened when it was serviced.

Simple really: take it back to where you got it serviced and tell them to fix it.
It is still under warranty, right? With only 8K km on it, I assume it was bought brand new and still under warranty? There you go, take it back and tell them to fix it.

Haha thanks guys on my way to the mechanic it came back to life. He said it was probably water in the petrol.... phew no money to be spent.

My Thruxton 1200 R did the same. There is a recall for this problem. There is new ECU firmware to fix this. Phone Triumoh, make an appointment, ride there and wait 30min while they flash it.
