Default Biker Down - Main and Ash in Kyalami

Just seen a pretty bad crash involving a KTM (no sure which but looked like a 1190 or similar) on the corner of Main and Ash road in Kyalami. Looks pretty bad, as bike is trashed - front wheel is missing and lots of the plastics. Couldnt see properly but looked like one vehicle involved.

Rider was being assisted by paramedics so hopefully he makes a speedy recovery. if anyone has details please let me know if biker is ok.

    Be safe out there.

****Sorry correction its Main and Maple. Not Ash*****

If itís the same incident, biker admitted to Sunninghill Hospital this morning at 9am.
No broken bones and CT scan is fine, multiple abrasions.
Wife works in Radiology so got the inside track on a few things.

It is a dangerous junction. Downhill main road with traffic lights.

Yes. From the downhill side it is Maple on the right and Ash on the left. Odd naming there as the other roads continue the same on both sides except on this intersection.

As are all junctions, especially in Midrand and Kyalami where the rules of the road mean very little.
