    Default Back in the saddle

Decided to get back into riding after a 20 year gap. Last rode when I was at uni and for a very brief time. Been wanting to get back into riding for a long while now but was nervous and cautious about getting a bigger bike (600+) which I really wanted. Obviously I pored over countless youtube and forum posts and the general consensus was too start small and then woek your way up. So erred on the side of caution and picked up a Honda Twister last weekend. First ride out and everything just came back and all felt so natural. It left me wishing I had bought a bigger bike. Second ride out, with me being more cocky and I'm kinda glad I got the 250. Low speed turning - especially on the road with cars all around you - takes a bit of practice.

Some smart decisions made on your part. Getting back takes time although the basics come back fast the finer details take practice and patience.

    Be safe and have fun!

Don't do it, there's no coming back from the dark side

Thanks guys. Since getting the bike I've pretty much ridden it every day - although just in my suburb in the early mornings and evenings after work. Can't get enough. Looking to write my learners asap. Any tips on resources I could use to prepare?

I used https://www.getyourlearners.co.za/. Seemed to be the most up to date.

    Good luck
