    For this who appreciate the Apollo missions there is an awesome podcast called 13 Minutes to the Moon. Great interviews and also gives the complete comms thread between the lander and mission control. Worth a listen.

    But

    If you (like the chaps in the tin can way back then) wanted to come back safely to planet Earth, then the simple and straight choice would be a BMW with a VStrom as a back up escape pod.
