    Default brake discs

    Hi All,

i need new discs for my nc (the previous owner let them get very much roughed up) - that or need them skimmed?

not sure if that is possible or safe, any advice?

Hi, you don't say where you are, Gauteng is a bit vague! You can take them to a REPUTABLE brake shop, and they are few and far between, and check if they can skim them, but I seriously doubt it. Otherwise Honda, or look on line.

R1200 for a pair or single! My front has double calipers up front and been contemplating replacing them.

Torndao is well priced and if they don't have they can take a sample and they can have them made. They used one of my NC disc for the first template. they were also the cheapest at that time.
The price will be for a single disk.

Rather get new discs. Tornado's quality is top notch.

Also..... discs have a minimum thickness allowed when worn, and I have seen dodgy places skim bike discs, only for them to have cracks form shortly afterwards.
And not small tiny crack either, very noticable cracks across the braking surface.

Not safe at all and a time bomb. It is not a case of if they will fail, it is when.
