    Default New to the forum

Hi everyone, I am new to the forum!

I have question for all you knowledgeable guys out there, I am based in Pretoria and would like get a Ducati Monster but what do you do for services? Is there anywhere in Pta to get it serviced or do you have to take it to the agents in Jhb?

    Many thanks

    Welcome very much. Lol.
I liked at a multistrada and eventually decided against it for that very reason, parts availability and dealer network, CT has closed so there is essentially 1 dealership in SA now.

Welcome! Not sure about bike shops in Pta. Apart from the Ducati dealer I know of http://www.motounoracing.co.za and http://www.fire-itup.co.za/. Both are based in fourways/kayalami areas so not to far from Pta. Fire-it up seems to buy, sell and service just about anything but not sure if they can help you.

So after much researching and searching I found this one. I really liked the Ducati Monster but the Duke is more nimble in traffic. And the quick shifter is so great.

Keep rubber side down, enjoy the ride, and hope you got some gear too!

Thanks. I did visit Ducati in their (very nice) new showroom and as I said earlier, I had my heart set on a Monster. They even had 2 demo models to choose from, but since most of my travels are commuting to/from work through heavy traffic I found the Duke lighter and easier to handle than the Monster. The Monster sounds nicer I think, but with the Remus pipe the Duke is a very close match.

Nice, I get it, I wanted a 790 Duke myself before picking up the
Triple. The Triple and the Duke are very similar in that way as you
say. They're 'just right' (Goldilocks?) more or less I think.

Personally, I think you've done much better than the Ducati there.

I took the 790 duke around Kyalami when KTM launched it last year. It should be fun to commute with it.
