One of the suspects was arrested on Friday evening and appeared in court yesterday. He declined a bail application and has been remanded into custody and will appear in court again later in November (I think the 23rd or 27th). The other 2 suspects have not been apprehended yet unfortunately.

If anyone is interested there is a mass ride for Zelda on Saturday starting at the Pick n Pay Hyper in Brackenfell (meeting at 8:30am to leave at 9:30am) and heading to Killarney where they will be having her memorial service.

Some of the other clubs around the country are starting to organise rides as well to ride in solidarity so if anyone is interested in taking part or joining one of the rides you can follow the Facebook page Zelda's Ride Page. They are keeping everyone up to date with the ride information as well as what is happening with regards to arrests and the court cases.

Difficult to express how hard the Cape Town biking community has been affected by this especially the 2 ladies who were on scene not long after it happened

The price of a life....a wallet and cellphone. There was no need to shoot her, the three scumbags had already overpowered her.

To all the ****ers that sat in their cars and watched...….next time it may be your turn, don't whine if karma is a *****.

Zelda was an ex student of mine.

Thanks to the Think Bike marshals that showed up to help marshal the ride yesterday
It was amazing to see such a turnout (just under 700 bikes apparently) and the respect that was showed to all of us on the road by other road users was also very much appreciated.
