Default Old Newbie, or is New Oldie???

    Hi all

So I was last on this forum in 2012 (had moved and went full cager mode, smh I know).
Anyway, I am looking to get back on two wheels now for daily commute so I thought I should say come back and say Hi I used to ride a Hyo 250 back in the day, very rusty now so will try get some refresher training. Also gonna pick people's brains on bike choice as I will start looking soon.

Feels good to be back here though, maybe now I can fully join TB

    Thanks y'all.

@Hastex, the GT250R was a good first bike. Frame very similar to the 650 so looked nice and big, felt the same too.
Power was okay, could easily get to 140km/h so could handle the freeway. Only downside I guess is if you need to find parts as they are scarce. I was lucky to find someone selling an old non-runner for spares so had that for back up. Otherwise all good I think...

    Quite cheap pricewise too!

Was the reliability OK? I was considering a cheap cruiser, the GV650 looked OK and was cheap enough.
I worried about the company's reliability

I have also been very interested in the GV650 for some time, but their belt drives put me off it after the sales person claimed that it needed to be replaced every 6000km for quite a bit of cash....

Apart from a few blown fuses, I personally never had an issue with regards to reliability.
Yeah the GV650s do look nice, but not sure how they perform though...
