2017 a year that was...
On Behalf of the Chairman of the board.
The current Directors and Chairman would like to give some feed back from the year of the going's on and what we have tried to accomplish for the motto of Think Bike- Raising Awareness and Saving lives.
We start of with a short fall on the Directorship as both Smart Tart and Az stepped down, We started to work on the process of going back to having a committee of members to both alleviate costs and make issues easier to deal with.
Welcoming on board Maria, Dhevan (ChettyGP) and Francois (Sloh) to help with the day to day goings on with Jadd, Speed devil and myself.
We hit the ground running- We had a early meeting in the year to see what we could do start getting the campaign out there again.
ChettyGP with his son V.T.C tired their best to get to as many rallies, events and shows humanly possible to spread the word of safety for bikers. There were times were it was just the two of them as there wasn't anyone to help or support the drive. They started to make an impact and the word got out, Think Bike is on the rise.
There was lots of talk and safety initiatives with the delivery service industry with regards to safety of the riders and maintenance of the bikes as well as there surrounds being a safe environment to ride in.
Due to the busy schedule over the May month we were not able to run a stand at the SA bike festival this year, but we got huge support from the Mass ride and well as the new bumper stickers that were handed out.
Maria has taken over the day to day running's as well as the shop, which will start seeing changes this coming year.
With the help of our Sponsored IT company- Easyweb, we were able to get the forum fixed and running smoothly after months of constant down time and lagging issues.
Speed devil has been hard at work with the designers and in the next coming months will have an new and improved Website for us, more up to date as well as more interactive and easier to use, as well as the forum and FB and Twitter feeds.
We have seen that there numerous different parties doing different types of safety awareness for bikers around the country and we have tried to partner with most of them so we can pull our resources together to work together for the safety of bikers.
On the Marshalling side, we did a huge amount of Charity rides and helped with a lot of the events and rallies, From the Mass charity ride for SA bike festival to the Mass safety ride.
