Default New to proper bikes and forum

    Hi Guys

I heard about thinkbike on the cycling forum that I am a regular on.

I used to have cheap and nasties for the last 5/6 years, and bought a GS650f about 2 months ago.

For those of you who travel from Cape Town to Brackenfell on the N1, I am the guy on the blue GS doing 40 and diving between the cars to make space for the more confident guys.

Being my first proper bike, I have plenty of questions on various topics that vary from exhaust to riding skills.

Looking forward to some insightful chats.

    Cheers

Welcome Allrounder. Plenty of info to be found on these pages, and the nutties will be around soon to give some sound advice. And pull your leg a bit. Enjoy.

Welcome! Nothing wrong with cheap and dirty. Best bike to use is the one you have.

    Enjoy!
    Ricers are bikers too!

Hi Allrounder and welcome to the forum.

I think I have see you on the commute. I am on the N1 from Old Oak to Sable road.

Slow is good. I think most biker split to fast to be able to react to to someone doing something stupid. The only reason I remember you is that you are the only one that I overtake. (I also split at a careful speed.)

The last couple of weeks I have been on a blue V-Strom, but I am normally on a silver Twister. I always wear a reflective vest. Give me a toot if I come past you again.

    B
