Default Hi bikers OLD and young

    Hi Bikers,
Iím new and looking forward to browsing this forum.
My biking days started with a Triumph Bonneville in the early sixties. Sadly I sold the bike some years later as the gals were not keen on going to formal dances with their fancy hairdos and long dresses. Needles say I missed the Bonneville and in retrospect the bike was more fun than the dances and most of the girls.
My next bike was a new Yamaha SJ650 twin; I bought his machine as it reminded me of the Bonneville and I rode this bike for many years, although second fiddle to the Bonneville it was a great machine; - like a fool I sold it.

Now Iím bikeless but looking to getting back in the saddle before I fall off my perch.
Bike prices today are scary so a new bike is not an option, so my sights are now on second hand machine 350 to 650cc.

My wife is supportive of the idea but my friends think Iím crazy. My daughter (now in the UK) has recently got her big bike licence Ė so it must be in the genes.

So hopefully, back on a bike, I may soon meet some of you on the road.

Welcome Harold. Hope you back on 2 wheels soon. If you have any questions on the newer stuff on the market than what you used to don't hesitate to ask. Plenty of folks here can help you with advice.

Welcome Harold. I always like hearing of ol' toppies getting back in the saddle after many moons of a sabbatical. Leaves me wondering if I myself will ever have this s sabbatical!
