new shark helmet - feels a bit too snug

Hi,

So i bought a new shark d-skwal on the weekend, coming form a shark 900. they are both smalls but obviously my s900 is well worn in now. anyway the helmet feels proper snug, a bit too much i am worried, they measured me again and the guy suggested the small, he said the medium moved too much (it moved more, too much i am not sure)

Do you guys think it will wear in or should i go try change it before it gets any damage?

They are correct - there should be no movement. Your dome will eventually mould the padding and wear it down a little

I experienced the same with the skwal, coming from the S700, that it did feel a little on the snug side, They did change some design on the newer helmets so they feel more solid on your head but it gets better after a few hours of riding.

You will also notice that your field of few is smaller, this contributes to the feeling that the helmet does not fit correctly.

I now own a skwal and d-skwal and both have gotten better after a while.

Bought myself a medium Skwal and also find it a lot mor snug than my Shark Explore-R, which is also a medium.

I have the Skwal, which is essentially the same thing as the D Skwal. I kept the helmet on my head in the house just to get the pads inside to take my head's shape. It was so tight I got headaches from it.

Today, if i don't wear it for a while the pads seem to try to regain their original shape, it comes off with skin I tell you.

either your head is too big or the helmet is too small

Maybe a bit of both.
I got the large helmet size. The medium wouldn't fit and the XL had too much play.
