    Default Keep what...?

Have the basic rules of the road been rewritten and I haven't noticed?
Whatever happened to "Keep Left... Pass Right"??

Commuting on the N2 Somerset West to Cape Town and the left lane is always empty.......

In Cape Town, the left hand lane is for left handed people and the right hand lane is for right handed people.

There are more right handed people than left handed people.

Unfortunately this is happening all over the country and gets frustrating when you are in a vehicle. if you flash the person in front of you nowdays they slam on their brakes or put on bright lights at night when you get to the front. Just breathe in ..... out.....

Up here, in civilization, we now have real nifty 4 lane highways. These work as follows:

    - Far left lane: Trucks travelling at 80km/h.
    - Next lane: Trucks travelling at 82km/h
    - Next lane: Trucks travelling at 85km/h
    - Far right lane: All other vehicles travelling at whatever speed the dude right in front is travelling at.

    Hmmmmm...

Extreme left lane is generally the freest flowing lane.

Drivers are born in the middle lane, live in the middle lane and die in the middle lane...

Just assume that everyone around you on the road is a homicidal egomaniac with a hopelessly false sense of entitlement. You'll have a much calmer ride.
