You know what you need! A gopro mounted on your helmet! If you ever get into situations like this, share the video and take to the cops. This is very important to do and very easy. I think all bikers should seriously think about doing this if not already. I'm putting one in my car as well. A second hand gopro 3 is good and not too pricey or even just a gopro hero.

I find it helps to think of all motorists as children(even when I'm in a car myself). Anything they do is seen through the lens of "the poor fool doesn't know any better". Like when someone seemingly deliberately closes the gap when I'm lane splitting. By viewing it as an unintentional act by a child who doesn't know what he's doing, it's easier to remain calm. Bonus fact: when you don't even acknowledge a deliberate aggressive act towards you, the offender instantly feels he has "lost" because his attempt at intimidation/aggression clearly failed. Not being upset and not acknowledging them is often the sweetest revenge of all.

100%. Chances of you getting locked up is very high even if he is not a cop. Ask me, this happened to me years ago. And after that, I had sleepless nights for weeks knowing that they now had my address. Just pray for karma.
