    Default Yamaha Fazer 600 S2

    Hi all

Is time to sell my Fazer. The wife and I want to do some touring in the next 9 months or so before we emigrate so we are looking at something a little more suitable for us..... i.e my wife doesn't like the back seat of the Fazer compared to the BMW I had when I first introduced her to biking!

So is a 2008 model with 42400 kays on the clock. Has a fresh pair of Dunlops fitted, a Givi full touring screen as well as the stock, Givi 46 litre topbox and I have a pair of Givi side panniers and brackets to go with it. The brackets need to be shortened by 1.5 cms as they came off a 2007 FZ and the rear pegs are in a different place! Everything in good nick.

Has a new DID chain as well as new front and rear sprockets. Also has a set of bar risers to make it adaptable for your riding position. Has a pair of Akrapovic slip-ons that produce a lovely sound. If you prefer something a little quieter my dear friend Nades in Cape Town will be more than happy to swop out the stock pipes for these ones.. Recently did an oil and filter change. Has a centre stand as well as a side stand to make cleaning and chain lubing easier. New bar grips and spare keys.

Really is in an excellent condition as I look after my bikes. My brother owned it before me so has been in the family for about 4 years.

Is excellent as a commuter or as a tourer for people who dont get a lame butt quite so easily as me. Is also pretty competent as a weekend track bike as well. Top end about 220 although I would never do that! That would be irresponsible gets about 20 kays per litre on a commute.

Those of you who know me are aware that we used a 2005 naked Fazer in 2 Bike SA 24 hour endurance races. The bike we used had 90000 + kms on the clock at the start of the first race and never missed a beat so these are pretty bullet proof motors.

    Am looking for R50k.

    Thanks Vigilant.

I dont have to sell but am seriously considering it. I am currently in a first interview stage for a job in the UK so wouldn't need the bike but could probably use the Pounds to get settled over there for the initial contract period. If I don't go very early next year then my wife and I will probably emigrate around July 2017.

We would want to see a lot of SA before we so will get hold of a used GS/RT Beemer to do some touring on.

Thanks Sandy. Sad to see her go but the new owner is apparently loving her

She did her first Zwartkops track day with the new owner last week
