    Default Naughty Think-biker

Guys, please be sensible on the road.

The think-biker in the attached image overtook me on the right, while both of us were turning right from Modderfontein, onto Emerald approaching London road. I was left with very little room to move as there was a car on my left (also turning right) and the biker on right. Needless to say, this could have ended quite badly of all of us (luckily it didn't).

This is by no means a dig at the biker, just a caution on lane-splitting or overtaking in an intersection and/or while cars are turning.

    Morning psychosis

That is me in the picture.

If I did put you in any way into harms way to I do profusely apologise.

When I was lane spitting down Modderfontein road towards the Emerald and Pace Close intersection, there was one red R1200S motorbike in front of me, and no bikes behind me. (I check for bikers behind me as I split lane quite slowly)

I did move from the centre lane into the right turn lane, when there was a gap in the cars, and then turned right at the intersection.

I am not sure where I took space away from you. I was not (and maybe incorrectly) aware of any other bikers behind me.

Perhaps I can buy you a beer some time and we can discuss so I can understand better and ensure it does not happen again.

    Regards
    Anton

Taken with his cellphone while driving. He probably had such a groot skrik that he dropped his shaver in his coffee on his lap, and swallowed his siggy. He actually had to fumble quickly to get his phone which also fell in the process, end the call to take the pic...This is all TIC offcourse

I suggest this fred should not become a head on collision between RR and TB, it's just not worth it.

Anton, thanks for posting and standing up. That video is just so wrong in so many ways and I do hope others watching it will understand that and avoid riding like that. The timing is bad, as you could have stopped, your positioning is bad. I can only hope you adjust your riding style for your own good sake.

I agree. I should have stopped.

I think as I was approaching the intersection I "wanted to get through it".
