Good that more details are now available. It certainly seems that the Sanral vehicle was in the wrong. The court will now decide.

Also on the Arrive Alive website:
    https://www.arrivealive.co.za/news.aspx?s=1&i=24023&page=Controversial-crash-between-SANRAL-vehicle-and-Bike-raises-several-questions-and-concerns

Early days yet and calm heads are needed but it does not look good for SANRAL!

I just hope that if this is indeed some Sanral policy that the driver isnt used as a scape goat....but then...I do love a good conspiracy...Like why is my coffee mug always empty at work?!?!?

Sanral snuck in and downed your coffee. That was only after Eskom stole the sugar out of it and Transnet the milk. Be careful! Soon SAA will be there to steal the mug!

Well the rider did come forward as did an independent witness which corroborates the riders statement 100%

This whole incident gives me chills and leave me feeling very uneasy indeed.

Someone who is supposed to protect road users and ensure their safety deems it justifiable to use deadly force against a road user.
The Driver of the Sanral vehicle could very easily have pulled in front of the biker and then slowed down to force the biker to a halt.
What did happen sounds more like the actions of somebody that has no regard for the law and was intent on causing harm.
For person in an authority position to behave in this manner is inexcusable and I hope he has been suspended pending an investigation into this matter.
If the Sanral employee is still on our roads then we have a serious problem here.

Lets hope the right things happens here but I have a feeling this is going to be swept under the carpet unless some action is taken.
