Have you had any training recently to get familiar with the bike?
BMW Motorrad has a comprehensive range of on & off road training at Zwartkops... *VERY* worthwhile.
For me, spending R10k in attending multiple training courses is waaaaay cheaper than replacing plastics/ jacket/ helmet etc. from a silly off that could have been prevented.
Everybody crashes.
Some get back on and ride again.
Some don't.
Some can't.
Welcome to the forum and enjoy your renewed found freedom. Keep the rubber side down and consider joining as a member, nice benefits to it. And take to heart what crash said, training is important, you can never get enough, and always fun.
