Default New to the forum and South Africa, moved here from California

    Hi all,

Recently moved to Joburg for work.
I used to ride a Kawasaki 650 and fell in love with riding.

Picked up a 2008 cbr600rr within a month of me being here, I absolutely love it!
Looking to make some new riding friends and finding some nice roads to ride.

    Here she is

And a very warm welcome here! You just might find our winters a tad warm compared to where you come from

Keep an eye on the Events and Breakfast run sections, there is always something new. I'm also working now on dates for the ice cream run which was cancelled about a month ago due to rain; a run to Mpumalanga in June; a Noob Commuter run and a food run in June which will probably be a Bunny Chow, a uniquely South African dish, just perfect for your culinary education!

Where in Gauteng are you situated?

    Thank you!
I may be here for 2 years. Plan is to take the startup I joined to the US to expand their global foot print.

Will do, those sound like a ton of fun. I was part of a forum in California and I joined tons of group rides and met some awesome people. Hoping for the same here
I'm in Northcliff, close to Cresta shopping mall.

Oh hey, ahh a 600rr.net member
Ok cool, I've been up to Hekpoort but not rustenburg side. I actually went to my first ever track day at Redstar Raceway on Easter and it was amazing!

    I'll PM closer to Saturday.

Sweet. Going to RedStar for the Triumph track day in May so looking forward to it.

Not sure where we will ride to but expect many extremely terrifying straight roads haha

Welcome Welcome! Beautiful bike you have there.
