    Default Motorcyclist shot dead

Reports on a motorcyclist confronting a cager an the corner of Malibongwe and Boundary. Sounds like both parties were armed. End result was the cager being wounded and the biker shot dead. Malibongwe closed to traffic and police are investigating

Default Motorcyclist shot dead in road rage incident Malibongwe / Boundary, 14 feb 2014

As seen on Twitter: Lots of speculation as to what happened. There should be witnesses as this happened in peak traffic this morning. RIP rider, may the truth come out.

I went past there earlier - whole section of Malibongwe closed and a body draped in a gold foil blanket. Pleny of ambulances, fire, police but I couldn't see any damaged vehicles.
I really hope that the reports are wrong

    According to Radio 702:

Some kind of arguement ensued. The bike stopped and rider got off. Rider started walking towards the car, then stopped and turned around. As the rider was walking back to bike the driver got out and two shots were fired at the rider.

Allegedly the deceased rider was also carrying a gun.

Interesting. I wonder who shot first then... the difference between self defence and murder?

Yes, selfish drivers (which includes riders) are a problem.

I so agree with you Pyro, there really is an attitude of self importance by everyone on the road . We are all to blame in one way or another.

Sounds rough, condolences to the family of the deceased and hope the driver has a speedy recovery.

This is wrong on every level imagined.
