Default Ride to Kitty Hawk - Sun 29 December

A loose arrangement for a ride to Kitty Hawk tomorrow from Greenstone side of town. We're collecting a first-time-public-road-riding lady in Rooihuiskraal, then collect Renette in Garsfontein, through to Kitty Hawk for a breakfast then whatever after that. Will be getting onto the M1N at Corlett Drive at 7:30, off at New Road (no tolls up to there) then on the R101 to be in Rooihuiskraal around 8:00-8:15.

Let me know if anybody wants to join up

You can meet us either at my house to leave at 7:15, or at the Corlett Drive onramp to M1N at 7:30. PM me for my home address if you want to meet here.

We'll keep an eye on the weather, but it looks like it might hold until this afternoon. We'll make decisions as we're going.

Not too bad. HH, Kat Burglar, Cubby, Riaanhar, Moose and myself met as planned and rode to Mugg and Bean in Midrand where we had a Lekker kuier and brekkie before each hitting to road home again.

Yeah, we got to New Road and I phoned Colleen to cancel the ride as it was coming down buckets. Was nice catching up with you guys! I told her we'll see how the weather treats us during the week then will make a plan.

@ Roy&Sandy, Kitty Hawk is an air strip on the east of Pretoria. They serve good meals and is the regular haunt of the more civilised biker

Ja? Indeed. Held all the way to the afternoon minus 6 hours.

    So. I have:

    - Soaked boots on window sill hoping for some sun to dry.
    - Soaked socks on towel rail waiting to dry enough for wash basket.
    - Soaked denim over back door hoping for some sun.
    - Soaked undies next to socks also waiting to go in basket.
    - Soaked airflow jacket on hanger over curtain rail waiting for some serious sun.
    - Soaked TB high viz bib as above.
    - Good quality rain suit with booties, snug as a bug in a rug, nicely folded and dry as the Sahara in my top box.

Amazing, AMZ still has 100% hindsight. I thought that at his age all sight diminished, including hindsight.

Your choice AMZ, hold him and I treat him or vice versa! Only those who braved the conditions should be allowed to brag, ne?

I still went on to visit some peeps on the way home I did not see for a while, the banana boy stayed dry!
