Foreigner requirements for a learners

Would anyone happen to know what requirements are needed for a temporary South African resident to get a learners permit. Any one with experience in this?

I don't think it is any different than for a South African. Best to call your local licensing office and ask. In the meantime see here:

Thanks, managed to get a list of centres I can call to find out. I was under the impression that for motor vehicles one needs a traffic reg number so was wondering if it would be the same for motorbikes. Will update on my findings

I'm guessing it's a way of identification for those that don't have national registration number. Take a look at this site it actually answered my question.
