    good to hear A
I expect to pass through this world but once. Any good, therefore, that I can do or any kindness I can show to any fellow creature, let me do it now. Let me not defer or neglect it for I shall not pass this way again.

Hi all....please can i ask that you keep my sister and brother-in-law and fam in your thoughts, as his mother just passed away from cancer.

Unfortunately there was nothing they could do for her as it was to far long.

Silvrav, condolences and may gentle and kind days follow ahead of these very difficult days.

ThnAir's mom, who is 76 years old was diagnosed with Ovarian Cancer on Monday. She going to have a hysterectomy Monday 17th June.

She seems so calm about it all, ThnAir's sisters however are all over the show emotionally, and after living with me for a few years , he is an absolute star at keeping them all calm and focussed.

The grand news, the operation was a success.ThnAir's mom was an absolute superstar. The not-so-wonderful news - the cancer cell changes were malignant, and the doctors have cautioned ThnAir, that if it is a new cancer, his mom will do well with chemo. If this new cancer growth is as a direct result of the beast cancer she had, her chances of recover are more limited, as the cancer caused by the spread from the breast cancer is very difficult to treat. We will have the answers tomorrow as that as when the pathology reports will be sent back to the doctors.

Please peeps , if any of you have loved ones who have had or are been treated for breast cancer, please send them to a gynae to have their reproductive organs / ovaries checked as well and include this checkup in the 6 month check up, as 12 months ago - there was no sign of ovarian cancer when ThnAir's mom went for her routine oncology checkup - worst is this would have been year 5 that she would have been free of breast cancer.

Yesterday was oncology day. Cancer same strand as the gene that caused the breast cancer. After the chemo treatment they expect her to live for 2 years. Shaun's mom was heartbroken, I felt so sorry for him, what do you say? How do you make someone who gave birth to you to believe that it is all going to be okay and that it will not hurt. Shaun's mom told him her greatest wish is to live to be 80 years old.

And so we decided if that is her decision, although we have no control over when any of us die, we will endevour to create wonderful memories starting today, so that when the inevitable happens we will know that the last years would have been truly magical for all of us.

Time for we, the living. All the issues that seemed so huge a few weeks ago, appear so insignificant, amazing how a mortality reality check can change your perception of what counts.
