Default Simon Matthee - 6 February 2012 - Western Cape

Sadly Simon, was involved in a motorcycle accident yesterday, and did not make it.

He was apparently travelling behind his parents at the time.

Our deepest condolences go out to the family and friends of Simon, may you all find comfort during this difficult time.

Sorry Nunique - facts are a tad incorrect

Simon was involved in the accident on the 28th January just after 6.30pm. He was in a coma in Tygerberg hospital with serious swelling on the brain, broken arms and other minor injuries

Sadly, Simon succumbed to these injuries yesterday afternoon just after 2.00 pm

Our thoughts and prayers are with his sister, mother and father - we pray they find peace and solace in this extremely sad time

Sad news, I see he was friends with your son Clock?

What happened?.. how long had he been riding?

Scorp - been riding a good few years. This was his 3rd bike and he was a very proud rider. As with any incident, blame can be apportioned anywhere - in this case the blame lies squarely with driver of the vehicle he t-boned. The even more sad part is that the driver is already facing culpable homicide charges from a previous incident
