Hi guys

I am looking for a tent that I would be able to attach to the bike for longer stays away from home. Any suggestions?

I would suggest a 3-4 person dome tent with 2-3 collapsable fibreglass poles.

Pros
They tend to pack quite small
light to carry ( 5kg and less packed weight in most cases)
easy to pitch (15 min pitch time in most cases)

Cons
They dont like strong winds
Flame resistant material does still melt if it does come into contact with hot exhausts

I bought a tent from game a few years ago - 2 man. The thing has tent + 2 chairs + 2 sleeping bags. All rolled into the size of a small duffel-bag.

Also look at the http://www.campmaster.co.za/product.htm?productID=92 I have one like these and they are great. Slightly larger size on the inside, but more than enough space for a helmet, jacket, boots, gloves, backpack, sleeping bag, pillow, 3 bottles of rum, 2 bottles of coke and charcoal for a weekend....and if you are so inclined you can also fit a carton of cigarettes in it.

I bought that one 2 weeks ago and haven't used it yet, will tell you about it after the Stag rally.

That one from camp master looks good. I cant remember where i saw a that uses your bike for support? no poles and folds up to a little less that nothing.

Thats a leke tent but a bit big if you are only carying a back pack and tank bag

Got a nice 2 man tent from camp master that fits...
