    Default Biker Down Lanseria Offramp

My husband just rode past what looks like a fatal accident on the bridge of the Lanseria on and off ramps. Is the rider okay, does anybody know about this. Strongs to rider and family. Why doesn't my post show on new posts, surely somebody needs to get in touch with his family (((

Gremlin and I were passing by soon after the collision occurred, we stopped to see if we could assist in anyway.

Dave checked on the rider who was conscious at the time, but we moved on as soon as the police arrived as there was nothing we could do.

I hope things didn't take a turn for the worse, and wish the rider a speedy recovery.

When I got to the rider, there was a lot of blood on the road and it looked like both legs were not well ....
The guys he appeared to be riding with did not know what his name was or where he lived... i guess it's like us TB folk who try meet up with others we do not know yet.
The rider was not lucid enough to speak ...

According to one of the other riders, the cage came off the N14 (travelling towards Krugersdorp), stopped at the intersection and pulled off and did not register the speed of the rider.
It appears that riders travelling South did not see that they were approaching a 4 way stop and the collision occurred at around 140, according to the other rider.
Both car and bike are write offs

Very sad to see the lives of multiple families affected by such a silly event .... we all need to be lot more vigilant and responsible.

I sincerely hope the rider pulls through ....

You mean the accident on the N14/R512 intersection? I was riding along with the Truimph when I saw it, no ambos were there yet and being a Medic I had to stop and assist. I waited until the guy got loaded on the ambo, was riding a VFR400 and name was Siyabonga. Damage was not very bad, I noticed a broken right arm and fractured wrist and possibly concussion, X-Rays will only prove.
Strongs to the rider and his riding buddy who looked quite traumatised.
