A fun day out with family turned tragic when well-known Port Elizabeth biker Dayalan Padayachey, 50, died in an accident on Tuesday afternoon.
Padayachey’s bike was clipped by a vehicle passing him on the N2 headed towards Grahamstown between the Baywest Mall and Makro off-ramps.
His son, Dayaan, 20, was riding him when the accident occurred.
They had spent the day at Baywest Mall with family and friends and were heading home.
Padayachey, who was also a mechanic known for his skill on the bike, died on the scene.
