So I'm sitting in the office and my colleague gets a call from a teacher at Bryanston Primary.

The teachers have locked themselves into the hall and pleaded with the parents to come and fetch their children WITH HASTE as the strikers were getting violent and attacking the kids in uniforms and throwing stones at the teachers. Apparently the strikers have gain entry to the school property and intimidating pupils and teachers.

WTF! These are grade 0 kids who are being harassed and sworn at!!! These are primary school kids!!! What threat are they to anyone??

Should any person/group put my child's life at risk - then I will not be accountable for my actions.

My old 'Proudly South African' attitude is being worn away day by day.

I have no problem with someone striking for higher wages, but to intimidate non-striking workers, volunteers and kids, & to endanger the lives of the elderly & patients :evil:

Sorry, no offence to the non-believers. What I am trying to say is that, if you have God in your life, this will not happen (you will never act like this) ...... ok, I don't want to get technical !

By saying they had lost their humanity I actually meant that these people seem to have lost every ounce of compassion, benevolence, i.e. they are acting in an inhumane way...let alone unreasonable and in some cases unthinkable...

We are human and therefore not classified by "Spirit", people have characteristics that "seperate" us from being classified as "gods"....and yes belief in a God will make you something but unfortunately it does not always make you a moral or wise person.

Nothing directly... since those who do believe, also believe that we were given the "freedom of will". (I am also not a "believer", so my remarks are based on what I know of it)

His point, is that, perhaps (if I am not mistaken), that the people who are showing such disregard for their fellow human beings are the hipocrits...

Let us not get into a religious debate here... that was not the original subject of the thread...

On Monday morning, Highveld news reported that Govt. had obtained an interdict preventing any strikers from intimidating non-strikers and from obstructing public services. What's the point if no-one is doing a bloody thing to prevent it when the strikers decided to ignore the interdict and cause havoc anyway ??? :evil:

Drove past Lonehill Crawford and there were lots of security milling about. I suppose they are trying to keep a high profile and the picketers will not stop and harass????
