btw, any idea whether they'll allow me on track without full leather gear?
    I will have boots/jacket/gloves/helmet.

I think this should be fine for Class C?

If I remember correctly ... it should be fine.

BTW .. If you looking at buying some leathers... have a chat to Deon. He is selling his gear after giving up biking. (Pravesh's death really hit him hard). Also PM me your email addy and I'll forward you some details of another friend selling his leathers.

Yup, you are allowed to be on track without leathers, as long as you're wearing full ATGATT.

Will also be there in Group B, Fireblade with HRC Colours. Oh shucks, my other buddy will also be there on a similar bike

Helps to read to rules included with the entry form: Bullet point 6......
    • Protective clothing ie. crash helmets with eye protection, long sleeved motorcycle jacket (Leather, Cordura, Gortex), gloves, long pants and ankle protecting boots must be worn whilst on the track. Protective clothing will be checked together with m/cycles at scrutineering.

There seems to be a load of confusion here. The 13th is a Regional Race day ............. NOT a track day. That was last weekend!!!
Maturity is a grossly overrated achievement

No confusion, The 13th is a Regional Race day at Swartkop's (also the ladies first 600 race) and simultaneously Michelin Superbike school track day at Kyalami ...

Some pics for you 320Dee and Diablo

Slightly out of focus, but is a nice one showing the track

This one shows movement in the wheels - which is nice. Background is a little overexposed, but a bit of Photoshopping can fix that - when I figure out how to use the d4mn thing

Also not sharp (sorry Diablo). I did explain why

Photographs like this are one of the best ways to analyse your riding..

Both riders are pushing the bike down and keeping the body upright.. not severely but it would be better to get off a little more and keep the bike slightly more upright.

Fully agree... I kept freaking out on the corners because my foot pegs kept scraping the ground. Later I chatted to another guy on a CB1000 and he gave some advice on positioning, etc which helped alot. I also need to stiffen the suspension abit more in future.

... now u tell me.... I kept looking for a "badly painted matt black track bike" ... I pictured paint as in ... paint brush bad with streaks and paint peeling off, etc... .. yours was neat with the track stickers all over.

NEXT TIME WE ALL WEAR PINK .. errr ... YELLOW Think Bike T shirts.
