    Default Lee's V45 Magna

Hmmm this one came in some time back and we busy working on her.

the only problem I forsee is that it's going to be difficult for Lee to get her back:

    When she arrived:

Looks like some tank work, some plastic work and respray comming up.
So Lee you have a hard Knee I see.

    More progress to follow soon...

When in doubt, Gas It! It may not solve the problem, but it WILL end the suspense!

Oh my word this tank had like 8+ layers of paint in places and looks like it had been welded before.

Gonna take some TLC to get perfect.

    Tank finally stripped of paint.

Looks like an old repair job here.

I discovered that Al- Qbond works a treat on metals.
So lets fix that Knee dent shall we.

    and some primer work
looks like some blemishes, no panic, MS Primer and sanding will fix nicely

there all sanded and ready for colour...

And to think last year Jan I didn't even know the difference between house paint and automotive paint...

ha ha, funny you should mention that Ruari, back in high school, woodwork class to be precise, yours truly was trying to spray a project with centers spray gun. I was very enthusiastic, but had no idea what I was doing. Once in, the paint seemed only to bubble and drip out the front of the spray gun, nowhere near the spray-paint like effect the teacher in charge of the centre was able to achieve during his demonstration. After partial banishment and sever reprimanding session I was informed as to why this lovely thick Magenta Dulux Wall and All wasn’t able to fit through the spray gun’s tiny jets. It took the teacher two weeks and loads of acetone to get the gun functional.

The worst part was the abuse I received from my mates that were now not able to spray their models, I think most of them have since forgiven me although.

Ruari, think I’ll need to come around for a session as to the difference between 2K and FJ!!

when in doubt, flat out !!
