Not yet but getting there very fast.

My Daughter is 5 and rides a minimoto. That's to say if the blooming tree will get out of her way

I limited the throttle on the bike but had to adjust it as she has had the thing since she was 3, in doing so she opened the throttle the same as she used to and ended up in a tree.

I don't let her ride anywhere other than my garden at the moment untill she fully understands the dangers involved.

    Quick question.........

With your son... how did you go about educating him regarding such problems.

    Have 3 kids:
2 year old daughter - doesn't like the sound of a bike, but will sit on mine if it is switched off.
5 year old son - loves being pillion. Take him to school and back every day when I am at home. He had a little 50cc scalemoto road bike jobby thingamagoetsie (Bday pressie from oupa). Even had training wheels on it. He didn't like the noise of the 2 stroke motor, so it was eventually given back to gramps
10 year old daughter - also loves to pillion and will use any excuse to go for a spin with me - she loves it more than the little man! She used to ride boeties bike, but was starting to get too big for that little thing.

The scalemoto didn't have a throttle limiter on it and I think that may also have been the problem. Oh well - when they are a bit older we will try again, but space is limited in my garden for toys like that!
It takes about 40 muscles to smile, but only takes 4 to extend your arm and slap that moegoe in the head!

Son 10yrs old, has his own pocket bike but is too big for it now. Like to pillion with me on Sundays. Other times he starts his sister's scoot (AN125). I think if he had half a chance he would ride that in the yard. Need to get him a bigger bike as for 10yrs he wears 14 yr old clothes (big boy)

I have a step-son age 10. He has been riding pillion since age 6, but, before he got on the bike, I gave him a good k@k out regarding pillion manners. To this day, I do no "feel" him on the back.... I have taught the laaitie well, and he now has his own mini bike (50cc). We go racing @ honda west-side every now and again on wednesday's, and he loves it!
