It's not cuzzy A class is open to all track pundits and experienced riders who have the capability of hanging in there........like I think you two qualify :roll:

considering this aint a proper riding school event.. how do we handle insurance issues? I mean.. will our insurance cover such events? ..also.. I dont suppose we will receive any certificates which we can present to our insurance companies for discounts enol?

Way cool for the response so far.......what I would like to see is a show of hands that want to do the day IRRESPECTIVE of the date????

I seem to recall a LOT of dudes *****ing about it being a girls only day - nows your chance for fame!!!

Seems like it'll be mid February??????

I can only finalise a date when I go to practice on Wednesday, as the track is booked solid, however I have a good chance of getting some dates extra. I have some favours I can pull

To help you make your decision - let me give you a few pointers:

* Cost will be around R275 - R300, depending on the price they give me on Wednesday.

* It is a TRAINING track day - it is about learning how to stay alive on a bike - not to see who can go as fast as they can till you crash!

* We are STRICT - anyone found putting others in danger by letting their oestrogen or testosterone (they are both evil substances!!!) get too clever - will be shown the exit gate. (I have done it before)

* As far as rider gear goes - I would like everyone using a bit of CDF (an army term for common sense.)
Class A is obviously cowskin (read leathers)
For the rest of the classes we will accept textile forms of rider gear, e.g. Cordura/Goretex etc.
Boots, gloves and a full face helmet are absolute musts!

But guys and gals - please use your pip and wear/beg/borrow/steal or preferably see Skinny at TankGirls or me to buy some decent kit!!!!

* The off-road training is not definite - as I might not involve BMW Rider Academy (here are reasons why that I cannot disclose) but manpower might not be available to do offroad and track, but I'm working on it!

Okay - Peeps - I hope that helps answer some of the questions you guys have - if there are any others, please post them......but more importantly - put your name down - I cannot make any form of committment without the right amount of people!

It can be part of the advertising for Auto Alpina, I will gladly support you guys, you know that... but the certificates can help us with the insurance as this is a track school and not a track day only

There isn't an "A class" listed - the list started from "B class" with "C" and "D" class - allowing for more time on track.

This was based on last time - and done without consultation of the organising committee - so if there is an "A" class - it certainly won't be made up of instructors only, as they'll be out on the track the rest of the time with "B", "C" and "D" class tuition.

The "B" class overtaking on the outsides only was to give the faster guys and girls a feeling of 'comfort' on the track, with this 'training day', not being an 'open day'.

So no - certainly not meant to exclude anybody - but rather to have you more experienced riders share your knowledge with others.
