    Default Cheers Dave

This morning we said goodbye to a good friend at Renegades. Dave (Gremlin) is leaving our shores to make a new home for him and his family across the pond.

Dave, you are one of the characters that makes Renegades what it is, a place where we all feel really comfortable once a week. If I had to describe you in one word it would be “sincere”. Don’t get me wrong, you are incredibly full of s*%t, which is why you fit in so well, but you are full of S*&t is style. You are kind and sincere.

We will miss you, so please keep in touch and visit. Remember, our guests don’t pay for coffee, but you will always be one of us, so you pay.

We wish you all the best with your new plans, and know you will make a success of whatever it is you hope to achieve. Until we meet again my friend.

    Cheers

    KC

Default Thanks for the kind words

Thank you for your kind words .... I will really miss my Friday mornings with you guys ... It was always the best way to get ready for the weekend.
I was saying to someone recently that getting back on a bike was the best thing I could have done ... apart from the obvious joy from riding, I have met a variety of awesome folks .... some stranger than others, but more often than not, lots of fun.

I remember when I first joined the Renegades bunch, and all of you have provided a little sanity, well sometimes at least
We have had many good laughs and I look forward to seeing you all again when I visit SA ..... where I'm sure I will have to weather more short jokes and comments about not being on a bike ( ... major withdrawal symptoms already from not riding)

Good luck all, and I hope to find you all in fine health when I return to visit

    Cheers

Sorry, KCS, did half a Giggles again!

If I repeat it next Friday, it will be a full Giggles, according to the man himself.

This Friday was relay coffee session!

I arrived as Blender left, had a cuppa on my own and decided to carry on to work.

As I turned into Malibongwe, Moose comes up the road.

Then I saw Ashley and his banner on the next bridge.

My 12-day bike trip will be over by tomorrow, so I will be back at coffee on Friday.

Spending the evening near Vrede tonight, and riding home tomorrow morning. This trip took me to Scottburgh, then Howick, then Durban, back to Howick, then Cathedral Peak, Vrede, and home tomorrow. It was amazing.

    Cheers

    KC

So I put Lucille down near Ixopo (Did I mention that I went to Ixopo as well?) Hit a massive pothole at 100 km/h and we went tar surfing. We skidded for 60m.

Miraculously, the only damage was ruined exhaust pipes and a broken indicator! The bike went over and skidded on the pipes.

I found a real old school Harley mechanic in Pietermaritzburg who had a used indicator, and some really nice new pipes. He sorted the bike out in a morning.

My ATGATT saved my butt. Not a scratch. I am really impressed with my Core jeans. They did not even wear trough. I’d be in hospital if it weren’t for them.

    Cheers

    KC

Eishh KC .... good thing you can't do much more than 100, huh ??
Even though you had an oops, I get the impression you had an absolute jol .... good for you.
    When you doing it again?

I'm planning a day ride down the Great Ocean Road. fro Geelong to Warrambool ... not a long trip but it is on very twisty beach road, much like the Betty's Bay road out of Gordons Bay .... Around 700Km for the day

Hope you don't have too many sore bits ...
