    While at school
Kawa 80 cc (can't remember the model - green & bigger than the '50s')
Had a couple of crashes on him - nothing too bad. Learned a lot about ATGATT and oil!

Then when I was 'big' (from 2003)
    Had:
1998 Honda VFR 800 - Black - I did 30k km on her in a couple of years
Crashed once (novice lane splitting error)

    2003 Honda CBR 1100 XX - Black (I did 20k km in 3 months)
One crash - enough to write her off - rider training would have helped!

    2005 BMW K1200S - Silver (I put on 40k km (from new))
One crash in 2006 - write off - car hit me from behind - wrote off the car too and broke my back!

    2006 BMW K1200S - Bumble Bee - sold at 43k km
Two crashes - 1st low speed slip in sand, 2nd lost it in diesel in the rain - this after PLENTY rider training, just bad luck

    2007 Ducati 1098 - Red - sold at 28k km
One crash - avoiding a head-on with a 4-ton truck! - rider training saved my life!!!

    2008 BMW R1200GS Adventure (write off @ 18k km)
A couple of off-road crashes - nothing big.
Then 1 big one in a corner (ran out of talent and wrote it off) - no pills for stupidity

    2009 BMW R1200GS Adventure (sold at 9000km)
A couple of off-road crashes - nothing big.
Then 1 big one off-road - still haven't found those pills!

Then somewhere in the middle of all that (around 2004-2006?)
I came off a Zippy Nippy Electric scooter (max speed 25km/h)
No helmet! Fractured my skull in 4 places, broke my TOP jaw - months of recovery!

    Current:
    2005 Suzuki DRZ400E - Yellow - 8k km (Dirt bike)
    PLENTY crashes off-road

Still riding after 12 'significant' crashes!

    Slowed down a *LOT* (clearly)

    2012 Bought the R6
2013 Sold the R6 (neck can't handle the praying mantis squat no more)

Current - still got the DRZ - but more into boats and Jetskis (got a Yamaha R1 Superbike motor in the Jetski - does that count?)

    2014 BMW R1200GS
    Everybody crashes.
Some get back on and ride again.
    Some don't.
    Some can't.

I had no issues, mine was well sorted.

It was my only lounge ornament, still the most beautiful bike ever and riding it was sublime.

The 916 was so much more than the sum of its parts, the engine sound and handling made every trip an occasion, it never felt underpowered. It was an uber chick magnet, even though the pillion seat was terrible.

You never walk away from it without a glance back at it.

I loved it as much as my Powervalve, which says a lot.

    Indeed...

Seems I did confuse myself... the 2014 BMW R1200GS is infact a 2007... bought in 2014

    Also the R6 was a '06, I think.
