    I tried them when I still had my 2K ZX12. According to them they could not insure it because it was too old and they only insure new Needless to say when I DID get a NEW bike I did not bother to contact them ;)

    i got a quote from them on my ZZR 1100

    and that whole bike insurance specialist my ass

    Thank you for your interest in our product.

    1. For road bikes from R40 000 up proof of an approved self-activating motion censored alarm or factory fitted chip key within 7 (seven) days.
    2. Inspection Certificate: All second hand motorcycle must be inspected by a vehicle inspection agent.
    3. Pro rata will be applicable for rest of current month + next monthly premium.

    Note:
    1. If you are involved in an accident while only having a learners licence an additional excess will apply: R2 500 for motorcycles up to the value of R40 000 and R5 000 for motorcycle valued above R40 000.
    2. Standard excess: (25 years old) 10% of claim minimum R 4000 ? (Accident)
    3. Theft: 15% of claim cost.
    4. For any claim within the first 90 (ninety) days from inception, an additional excess of R3000 will apply.


    any way long story short if i happend to have claimed in the first 3 months on my bike worht 30k i would have paid excess of close to R 12k

    sorry but thats just stupid!
