View Full Version : Dave Strauss

Dave Strauss died today (3rd Feb) in Ladybrand on his way back from the **** RALLY. He was travelling about 60kph in extreme hail, his bike slide into an oncoming vehicle.
He was the National President of the Highway Riders and based in Durban.
Condolences and prayers especially to his family as, if you remember, his brother Tim died about a year ago also in a bike accident. I know they will be devasted.
Also to his club and his work mates.
He was a member of Think Bike and was a staunch biker thru and thru...he rode everyday clocking up k's on his new bike which he needed to replace yearly.
He will be sorely missed by the KZNMF (KwaZulu Natal Motorcycle Federation).
He used to sing and wrote songs in fact he even wrote a song lyrics and words for TB.

News just in..........regarding Dave's accident.
He had a Heart Attack whilst riding to meet up with his cousin.
His integrity as a biker is intact and I am thankful for that as will his family I'm sure.
He will be sorely missed by the Durban biking community.
I do not have the funeral details yet and will relay them to you as soon as I know them.

DAVE STRAUSS 20/3/1967 – 3/2/2008

A year has past, but still memories last
Thoughts of you everyday
In songs and places you are here to stay
Always in my heart, a new live must start
But I cant seem to go on, it all feels so wrong

Even with the love I have found, I know you’re around
Dave I still cry for you, my words are few
All around me I see and hear you, I still don’t know what to do
I hear your music and your voice, must move on I have no choice

People may wonder about me, but it is my heart that they don’t see
Loosing your friend, you love ,your soul mate, saying I love you is now too late
But in my heart you will remain, I will have to deal with all this pain
Rest in peace my love; fly to the heavens on the wings of a dove

You are missed each and every day, still had so much I wanted to say
It has been a year but the pain is still here
Feels like yesterday that you went away
Know that we will never forget, I will always be thankful for the day that we met.

Back in the place where we fell in love, thankful to the Lord above
We shared nine years, love and tears
I wish we had longer but you taught me how to be stronger
And I will always love you, I knew a love true….

Love you always and forever
