Hey all you wonderful TB peeps ... I would like to organise a breakfast run on sunday 3 September to celebrate spring, and I would like to ask for your help. I would like to meet somewhere in the East Rand (Typhoon any suggestions) - and go for a very long ... ride!!! I am not really familiar with places other than Haarties and I am sure you will have more exciting suggestions than that!

We would need to stop off somewhere for breakfast and coffee (naturally!!! ;) )

I am looking at it being an all day riding experience ... any suggestions. Of course everyone is welcome to join us ...

What about a trip out to Rustenburg sould make for a good 2 hour ride and you could always stop off at magiliesburg for breakfast. ( sorry bad spelling )

or a trip to secunda could also work also about a 1:30min ride, they have avery nice KEG or DROS at there "water front "

Long run for me is Leaving Kempton / Bapsfontein and have Breakfast at Woodmans in Sabie... or Breakfast / Pancakes at Waterval Onder..

Long as in THE WHOLE DAY of riding ... with pit stops of course ... just wanna get out there and enjoy the ride ... and possibly the view. I think Sabie may be a little extreme - beautiful, but extreme!

I think stones is a good place to leave from ... will keep you posted - and THANKS

For a 2hour ride you can just as well, go WitBank, Middelburg, Roossenkal, Lydenburg, Dullstroom, and back.
That mountain pass between Middelburg and Roosenkal still comes from the previous regime, wide and lekker. I was throwing me car through ther two weeks ago.
And the road between Lydenburg and Dullstroom, just as lekker.

If you want to include real scenic, ride past Loskopdam.

Great road, and there is enough fuel stations along the route.
