Layers are definitely good. I wear stockings in Winter and they help a lot not sure if you are a female rider or a male but I think you will be fine wearing them if you are a female...hopefully your legs are not as hairy as AMZ's ...
Also if you are a lady rider Moto Girl has some really nice pants for us. I bought a pair at RITV over the weekend and they are comfortable to ride in, look good and I think they might be nice and warm for Winter... will let you know once it gets here
thank you , I saw the brand at Boksburg bikes , didn't check the price

Try Bikers Warehouse on Malibongwe. I wear GPI jacket and xkulcha breezy overs.
Riding a straight and smooth road does not make a skillful rider.

Go check Nexo @ 357 Rivonia Boulevard, Rivonia. They supply to bike shops (BMW etc.) and they sell to the public. They have a nice variety of jackets, pants, gloves, boots etc.

Nexo is a good make. Not bad at all, but OI have yet to see a Nexo in a BMW shop.

    Hi

You can also look at the Octane Jackets at Linex Yamaha on Malibongwe, they are about R3 200, but its a 4 season jacket. It has a airflow outer shell with enough vents, has a rain shell and a thermal inner.

    Regards

I bought a JAG jacket from World of Accessories ....4\5 years ago. Still going strong even after a few offs. It too is a 4 season jacket.....I dont know if it is sold as one, but I wear it all year round, so it qualifies.

I get hot in hottest summer and cold in the coldest winter (Nice and cool in the last few mornings)...but I didnt start riding bikes because of the air conditioning....

RST Ventilator jacket is on my WANT list...I just hope that they have better lasting power than my RST Raptor 2 boots....

RST, in general make good quality stuff. Keep in mind, a winter jacket, even with inner removed, will be extremely uncomfortable in summer. It should also have air vents and even then may be a tad hot. It is however the problem we all have. A combination jacket is financially the best, but it is really way better to have a full on winter jacket and a full on summer jacket, if you can afford.

When its extra cold I put a thin jacket under my bike jacket and I am sorted. You dont need to put a whole sheep worth of wool in, that extra thin layer does wonders to insulate your body.
