    Default Honda CX500 1981

Yesterday I had a look at a CX500; very impressive! The bike is in pristine condition, 23457km with COR and tools. Bike belonged to a lady, a small framed lady at that.
Her son has been using it to commute to work about 25km a day.
Has received regular services. Recently an oil seal on the drive shaft was replaced.

Paint work still good; no sign of any damage, still about 60% life left on tyres.

This must be a collectors item?

    Asking price R30,000 - I'm sorely tempted!

Comments and Opinions will be welcome.

    Hi Harold,
I'd hazard a guess and suggest the bike would be ideal for you. No messing around with chains plus you have reliability and enjoyment with technology better suited to your age group.
You don't want to go everywhere in THAT much of a hurry........or do you?
Find out if the lady had it seen to at the dealership, or was a preferred, private, mechanic used. It's reassuring to have a responsible person with an intimate knowledge of the old timer.

Pictures please when it happens and enjoy your new found freedom.

I wonder if this is the one I had a ride on a few years ago. Lady came for training with SpeedQueen and I was the instructor. She allowed me to ride the bike. It was indeed in a pristine condition, if the same one.
