    Default Lion Rescue Project fundraiser

    Hi all

For a few years now Think Bike has adopted a few lions at the Drakenstein Lion Park as part of our social programme. Unfortunately the time has come that we have had to relook our finances due to lower memberships and sponsorships and have had to take a decision to change from a yearly adoption to a once off lifetime adoption.

We have decided to do a fund raiser to raise money for the lifetime adoption for Ares, who is a 10 year old male lion that was rescued from a French circus. He had been neglected and was suffering from malnutrition and only grew to 1/3 of his size. He also suffered from a severe eye infection that left him blind in both eyes.
To do a lifetime adoption will cost R5000.00 which will ensure that he at least can live comfortably and free for the rest of his days.
If anyone can help for this worthy cause, no matter how big or small your donation, it will be greatly appreciated.
Donations can be made into the TB account with the reference: Lionsrescue/Forum name

Majorly good cause! I remember when we helped bring the lion out of the middle east war zone. Just wish I had some spare cash for this! I know we have a couple of really wealthy members who I am sure will donate.
